Stupid question

Maybe I'm missing something here. I downloaded the personal edition of
JBuilder from the downloads page at the Borland web site that says, "Free
full version, no registration required."

Well, when I install it and try to run it, it says I need an activation file
or a serial number and I have neither. Borland never sent me an email. I've
tried the process twice. It works with C++BuilderX and Together. I got an
email with an activation file. To top it off, I have to click the Cancel
button ten or fifteen times to close down the recalcitrant Registration
Wizard.

I've contacted Borland a few times by email, but probably did not get the
right person - I don't know who to contact, but nobody has helped. Does
anyone here have any suggestions? Am I missing something very simple?

I've never had an issue getting activation keys.

Spam filters being what they are these days, it is possible that the
e-mails are in a spam quarantine. Is there any way you can check that?

Hello Jon,

Information on how to register products can be found at:
http://support.borland.com/entry.jspa?externalID=151
Assuming you have downloaded the product from:
http://www.borland.com/products/downloads/download_jbuilder.html#

When you click on the trial version dowload you will be taken to a pop-up
screen that allows you to enter an e-mail address the activation file will
then be sent to that address.

Jbuilder does require registration, even if it is the trial version.

Hope that helps.
